The Japanese Lantern can be identifies by the larger bright orange to red paper covering over its fruit, which resembles paper lanterns.
Animals.
Keel- Billed toucan.
The Keel-Billed Toucan's most distinctive characteristic is the bird's gorgeous red, green, black, yellow, and orange bill. This bird can be found in a lowland forest and forest borders.
Scarlet Macaw.
The Scarlet Macaw, being apart of the parrot family, is one of the most beautiful birds in the world. It can be found in tall deciduous trees, feeding on tropical forest fruits.
Jaguar.
Belize is home to both the spotted and black Jaguar. The animals weigh close to 150-200 pound and can be up to 6 feet long.
Black Howler monkey.
The Howler Monkey is one of the loudest animals in the world. You are most likely to hear one before you see one. They are known for the distinct noises they use to protect their territory from other troops. They are also known as "baboons".
Green iguana.
The Green Iguana is seen literally everywhere in Belize. They are also called "bamboo chicken". They are the largest lizard, being 7 feet long.
